Fee discussions feel harder than the quality of the work suggests.

That’s not a marketing problem.
It’s not a confidence problem.

It’s a clarity problem.

This page explains how I work with architecture practice founders when that’s the case.

I don’t run programmes.
I don’t sell frameworks to “implement”.
And I’m not interested in surface-level positioning.

We work on the underlying decisions that shape how the practice shows up.

What the practice is really for.
Why certain types of work keep appearing.
What your language is signalling — intentionally or not.
Where compromises have crept in over time.
What’s being avoided because it feels difficult to name.

The work is direct.
Quiet.
Private.

I’ll challenge assumptions that no longer serve the practice.
I won’t soften things to make them easier to hear.
And I won’t pretend every issue can be solved quickly.

The aim isn’t inspiration.
It’s precision.

Not more ideas.
Fewer, better ones.

This isn’t a one-off conversation.

I work with founders over a fixed period of time — usually three or six months — so decisions can actually settle and take hold.

Founder-only.
No unnecessary output.
No theatre.

I stay involved beyond the call,
not just during it.

This work isn’t for every practice.

If you want templates, tactics, or reassurance, it won’t land.
If you’re looking to be told everything’s fine, this isn’t that.

But if you know the practice is better than the way it currently comes across — and you’re ready to tighten it properly — this is how I work.
