What Are You Known For?

Most practices can describe what they do.

Far fewer can explain what they are known for.

The distinction matters.

Clients don't remember every project. They remember patterns. Over time, those patterns become a reputation.

Some practices become known for heritage. Others for housing, education, interiors or workplace design. Some become known for a particular way of thinking or approaching a problem.

The strongest reputations are rarely accidental.

They emerge through a series of deliberate decisions about the work pursued, the stories told and the opportunities declined.

Being known for something isn't restrictive.

It's often what makes growth possible.

Because recognition begins long before a client gets in touch.
