Focus Is A Commercial Decision

Focus is often spoken about as though it's a creative exercise.

It isn't.

It's a commercial one.

Every time a practice says yes to something, it is saying no to something else. Time, attention and energy are finite resources.

The challenge isn't a lack of opportunity. It's deciding which opportunities deserve attention.

The most successful practices I've encountered aren't necessarily the busiest. They're often the clearest about what they want to be known for and disciplined enough to pursue it.

Growth rarely comes from doing more.

More often, it comes from doing less with greater intent.
